YOUR PRO2 ROOKIE CHAMPIONS 2024

YOUR 2024 ROOKIE PRO2 CHAMPIONS

This year, we introduced a new rule for graduating from the Rookie class: drivers had to qualify for Pro2 battles at least once during the season. This change was made to give rookie drivers more time to grow and improve, while still providing a championship to fight for.

Throughout the season, we saw several rookies prove their abilities.

1ST PLACE

In first place we have Daniel Devine. The 18 year old from Kildare blew us away with his consistent driving. Danny frequently qualified high and was put to the test competing against more experienced drivers often with more horsepower. Round 4 was where he truly shined, securing 1st place on Pro2 Saturday and an impressive 3rd place in the Pro event. Taking on Pro drivers as a rookie is a bold statement - We'll be seeing more of Danny for sure!

2ND PLACE

In second place we have Dale McBreen. Dale led the rookie championship for most of the season, regularly putting in high qualifying scores. His 90.7 in mondello park at round 3 put him ahead of the rest in the rookie championship, however Danny overtook him at the final round last weekend. Dale had a fantastic season, frequently qualifying for Top 32 battles, and we’re excited to see him compete some more next year.

3RD PLACE

Taking third in the rookie championship is Niall Mcinerney. The 23 year old from county Clare impressed us all with his precision driving this season. Niall had some outstanding qualifying runs, even putting in a 92.3 at round 3 in Mondello Park. Niall took all 228bhp and used it to prove that precision driving doesn’t take big power. His line driving was rewarded regularly by the judges. This has set Niall up to be an outstanding competitor in battles in the coming years, as he will be able to nail the perfect lead line that the judges put so much emphasis on. We look forward to seeing what Niall can do next year!

These rookies won't be rookies anymore as they advance out of the Rookie championships.

Thank you to all of our Rookie drivers for an incredible season. See you all next year!
